Thanks to everyone for their replies to my tower update email.
I have made notes and am now saving the money for the delivery while
formulating the rest of the plan for the installation. One of
you guys with allot of experience needs to write a book specific to Tower
installation.
Sort of a do's and don'ts type of thing with pointers as far as the order of
things as the project moves along. I know you dont
realize this because it is almost second nature (common sense) to you because
you have done it so much, but for some of us it would
be extremely helpful.
Looks like I will be busy with another tower while I am waiting on the money
for the cement on the Rohn 25 however. I just found
locally and purchased a 67 foot light weight TV antenna tower for 50.00. It
looks to be in good shape rivets and all.
I have a very strong fiberglass rod that is around 1 1/2 inches in diameter
that I am going to use as an insulator and try and make
a vertical for 80 and with any luck put a couple of wires at the top in order
to top load it for 160 as well. Well see.
I really appreciate this group, you all have been extremely helpful.
