Steve,
Formula for volume of a cylinder is Pi times the radius squared times
the height... area of the circular opening times the height.
For a 2 foot diameter pipe 8 feet long, google calculator gives this:
8 feet * pi * ((1 foot)^2) = 0.930842268 cubic yards
By the way, Google calculator is great for this because it converts
everything for you...
Go to google and drop this in the search box, it gives the answer above:
8 feet * pi* (1 foot)^2 in cubic yards
