Where do you live that cutting a chunk off a 2 foot concrete filled
steel tube and upending it into a hole is cheaper and easier than
getting concrete delivered ;-)
Maybe it's just cheaper...
Anyway, I'd imagine others will chime in but unless that 2' diameter x
8 foot long pipe is much, much larger in diameter than the base
specified by Tri-Ex, your tower will fall over... maybe if it's about
the same size as the recommend base, but only if you can drill a 22"
hole and actually have someone *drive* the base in straight so it's a
tight fit in the hole (cheaper than concrete delivery?)
If you do it any way I can imagine (put it next to the hole, put a tow
strap on the top and upend it with a tractor) it's not going to be
solidly bearing on the walls of the hole and will also be almost
impossible to get vertical.
