I'm not a high-volume user, but have never had a single failure with
Loctite 242... and that does include rotor bolts. 242 is one of the
'reversible' grades of Loctite that will lock firmly against vibration,
but also allow dismantling with hand tools.
Don't forget to wash out the threads in the base of the rotor with a
strong degreasing solvent, and wash any mill grease off the bolts. That
is the most common cause of failure, because Loctite won't stick to
grease.

I've switched over to stainless steel Nylock nuts, available at Home Depot
and Lowes, instead of using lockwashers and nuts. Nylock nuts have a nylon
insert that grips the screw thread and is much more secure than Loctite.
They will never come loose, and they're easier to install, especially when
up on a tower in freezing weather, when it's easy to drop lockwashers.
SteppIR yagis are assembled with Nylock hardwawre.
