I don't like using a switch and one piece of coax when using a low band
antenna and a 6M antenna. You take the chance of transmitting into the
wrong antenna if you are using one rig with both bands in it. If you're
using a separate 6M rig you would want a separate coax to the antenna so
you can monitor 6m for band opening.
LMR 400 is a good choice, so are just about any of the other low loss
cables sold by The Wireman, RodioWorks and Davis co.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Coax for crank up towers
I'm put up a HDX-555 and wondering what coax other crank up towers
owners are using for HF & 6 meters? Is any one just using a single coax
and switch? Good or Bad? Is anyone using the LMR 400 UF? Any input would
be great.
Thanks
