What is the function of the ground strap bypass? You've got electrical
continuity thru the rotator already so I'm not sure why you need an additional
strap.
BTW braid is not recommended for any grounding application. Eventually
each strand will oxidize and be non-conductive to the other strands. There'll
be continuity end-to-end but not strand-to-strand so you'll wind up with much
more resistance than you started with rendering your ground strap mostly
useless.
