<The 1 foot in 100 is a rule to avoid registering the tower. It the proposed
tower is above this rule, or 200 feet or higher it MUST be registered. Once
registered (approved), the information is placed on the maps used by pilots
to plan their flight so as to avoid obstacles such as towers.>
Using TOWAIR, my proposed 60' tower at 45-54'-39.13" N, 72-15'-08.55"W ,ASL
550', is 90' to tall,interesting.
But that 60' tower would still be 40 to 50' shorter than the ring of pine trees
surounding the property. So does part 17(tower not taller than surounding
objects) supercede all rules, or should I still notify the FAA ?
