If you are saying that the noise does not quit when you
switch the computer off, but DOES so when you unplug from
the wall, then it's open and shut, and is due to the switch
mode power supply. Very poor engineering practice is used in
computers, and they are almost never dissed from the mains
until the plug is pulled.
The cure is pretty straightforward, viz replace the PSU,
which is a screwdriver job. You will of course need to get a
recommendation from someone who knows a clean third party
PSU. Sorry can't help from this side, but I did have to do
exactly as I state above on my own (generic) machine. e.g. a
Dell is unlikely to be a problem.
The problem would be worse if you are e.g using tuned line
to the antennas, as opposed to coax feed.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Computer RFI
I am getting a lot of interference on the low bands from my
pc but from 20 meters and up there seems to be none. The
noise is very wideband and does not stop unless I unplug the
computer from the ac outlet.
Ideas? My dimmers cause me no problems at all..My garage
door opener has a birdie of a kind on 2 meters also..
