Mike,
I had another tower like that...I forget the brand, but I packed the base
with 8x16 inch patio blocks and then filled the gaps with either sand or
clay soil depending on the size of the gap.
Dug it up and replanted it a bunch of times.
Worked great! Just keep an eye on the weld where the pivot plate is.
It's not fun if it breaks.
Mine came off while tilting it over, but it hung up there and all was
OK...just scary.

The tower came with the non-cemented soil base -- about 6 feet long, fins
like a cruise missile (I was surprised we weren't stopped and searched on
our 14 hour drive back with it -- the previous owner in NE moved it twice
by digging the base up and replanting it... Darn thing weighs almost a
hundred pounds by itself, let along sunk in a 5 foot hole with carefully
packed CLAY soil tamped in place around it. Anyone have experience with this
version of the base?

You are exactly right, but the comment was misleading as the tower is
designed to be free standing using a 3x3x4 foot concrete base and does not
have to be bracketed to a structure. I have one up for 15 years with no
problems.

Tower can go either way...with the mast post it is self-supporting but was
advertised early on as a house bracketed tower to make the cost look
appealing...
One tri-bander at the 2ft stub above the rotor and a small 2m antenna bring
the wind load close to the rated specs...
