You are exactly right, but the comment was misleading as the tower is
designed to be free standing using a 3x3x4 foot concrete base and does not
have to be bracketed to a structure. I have one up for 15 years with no
problems.

Tower can go either way...with the mast post it is self-supporting but was
advertised early on as a house bracketed tower to make the cost look
appealing...
One tri-bander at the 2ft stub above the rotor and a small 2m antenna bring
the wind load close to the rated specs...
