Hi, Peter;
Skin thickness, the depth of effective current carrying, is greater in
the non-magnetic stainless alloys. Skin thickness varies inversely as
the square root of permeability, resistivity, and frequency. It is the
reciprocal of 2 X Pi X [square root of permeability X resistivity X
frequency], in meters if mks units are used.
