I would go 5x5x5 with steel reinforcement but
we are in sugar sand here and subject to
exceptionally high winds.

I looked in the Rohn book (you really should get
one) then made it bigger!

BTW:  The manual says for 80' in "normal" soil
you have 3830 Reac. lbs.  One of the engineers
here can tell you what that means!

I was setting up a tiltover which adds some
odd lifting torque so I went 6x6x6!  (I was
also setting up a guyless tower so all of
the strength had to be in the base.)

South of me a contest station owner just sticks
them in the sand!

Others use a concrete base and a pier pin.

Your soil and wind conditions make a difference
as does your ability to fully guy or not.
