Skip is absolutely correct. You will need to raise it off the plate an Inch
or two.
The 64K Question. Has anyone fitted an M2 2800 Rotor in the 470 crankup? I
plan to replace my T2X with one of these, and wondering if it will fit.

Gary,
To fit a tailtwister inside of an LM-470, you need to add a spacer
underneath the rotor plate to raise it up about 1 1/2 inches. A piece of
angle iron
is what the factory used to supply. It had a short piece of threaded rod
welded on and the rotor plate had holes in each corner. I've used
stainless
steel hose clamps to hold the angle pieces in place and the plate rest on
top.
It gives you that extra clearance for the rotor ears to clear the diagonal
bracing.
