Speaking of Turkey Vultures...A bit off topic, or thread drift but...

Last night I was out flying around as well as doing some take offs and
landings. The north end of the county fair grounds is only a couple hundred
feet from the taxiway. Right abreast of the touch down zone were two big
turkey vultures sitting on one of those big lights that stick out maybe 10
feet from the pole. Every one was trying to do their best at landings and
not feed the vultures.

When you are aiming for a point on the runway and see two big vultures
watching the same spot it does cause one to reflect on the situation a bit.

Cormorants were big enough to cause me some worry about my antenna. Turkey
vultures are even bigger. Scare them and they tend to do some very
unsociable things besides white washing the antenna. Lordy, do they stink!
