Maybe I have misunderstood what I have read about the National Electric
Code, but your suggestion about having a ground bus connected to the
*neutral* sounds like a violation because it could establish a
connection between the neutral and the ground (if you connect to this
"neutral bus" a device that has a ground connection via the green wire
in the power cord) other than at the service entrance (which typically
means at or close to the meter). Alan NV8A On 01/15/05 02:01 pm Tom Rauch tossed the following ingredients into the ever-growing pot of cybersoup: bench and tie everything to it. That buss should be commoned with the neutral of the power line entering the operating position, and can (and probably should) tie into the shack entrance panel ground if it is close. _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
