Same system as mine except I use a 44 gallon fill of water to rasie and
lower my mast. If anyone wants I will take some pics for them.

I've seen this in the antenna book (approximately 1969) and some of the
handbooks.  I am wondering why the sand instead of sinking the casing
directly in concrete?  Tom W6EIJ
