So point out that you have spent additional money on a taller tower to get your source of RF radiation farther away from your neighbors and give them greater protection.

The most common objection to amateur radio towers is aesthics.

Because aesthetics is so subjective it is a very difficult objection to argue. As a result, many less subjective secondary objections are developed and pursued. Rf exposure is probably the most common of these arguments.

After you complete the rf exposure analysis and present it to your neighbor, you will begin to get a sense for exactly what your situation is. If he accepts the analysis and poses no further objections, you are probably in good shape. If, however, he raises new objections of any kind, you should begin to suspect that the aesthetic issue is driving the whole thing.
