When I lived in New Jersey I used those bronze ground rod clamps on all my
ground rods. The tops of the ground rods were buried about 6". When I was
getting ready to move, I pulled up all the coax and ground wires. I was
surprised to find that those bronze clamps were loose on every ground rod
after 8 years. Maybe you need to retighten them every so often?
That is why for every connection to the ground rods I now use Cadweld
one-shots. Also recommend you use solid copper wire over stranded wire. Only
got about 8 years of use out of the stranded copper wire here in New York
State.

The bronze ground rod clamps that the hardware stores sell for approx.
$2 are designed for only one conductor too, but one can put a bunch of
them over one rod.
I can't see the advantage of these fancy new ones, and I bet they cost
much more than $2.
