custom made plate and some very minor "tweaking" of the 
diagonals, my Orion OR-2800 fit into my Hy-Gain HG-52HD tower, so your 
bigger HG-70HD should not be a problem.  It is an unbelievably great 
rotator- 
it could turn a house without even breaking a sweat.  And, the support 
from the
