Chuck:
I just installed a new US Tower MA-770 series tubular tower with all the
whistles and bells. US Tower could not have been more helpful throughout
the process. I got very prompt responses to my e-mails and telephone
calls. The PE data on the foundation was very complete, detailed........and
sealed by their PE. They stand the tower up at the factory, prior to
shipment, and run it up and down a dozen times or so to be sure it works
properly. They gave me the cell phone number of the driver who was
trucking it from California to my new QTH in Rhode Island. We communicated
daily during his cross country travels and the truck arrived at the new
house exactly as scheduled. The tower is beautifully constructed and is
heavily galvanized.
I am replacing a Wilson tower. The US Tower is head and shoulders over the
Wilson in the rugged construction and galvanizing. Very well designed,
very impressive.
I never had any indication that ham business was any less important to them
than the commercial clients. And I have been working with Gary and Bruce
since the first of the year on this tower. I had ordered the PE
information and anchor bolt kit in advance so the foundation was in and
cured before the tower arrived. The rotator mounting plate didn't ship
with the tower (oversight) so I called Gary and he shipped it out that day.
Kudos to Bruce, Gary, and the staff at US Tower.

A year ago I tried to order 3 of their custom 111ft. motorized telescoping
towers
that they had designed and built for a cell co. Nice stuff that they don't
offer to the
amateur community, but at $28K a pop, no wonder. Anyway, after many
attempts to get my order entered, they replied with a statement that they
have
too much cell business to deal with hams. Forget them. I'm not sure why
they
still advertise in QST or any amateur mags after this!!!

Along the same note, I've been trying to get US Towers to help me with a
tower that I have & would like to refurbish. I have left six or more
messages, sent E-mail after E-mail, and gotten only one response telling
me
the tower should be replaced. I've gotten no return calls after leaving
multiple messages over a span of five weeks. I guess they don't want to
support their products, only sell new ones. I'll not consider purchasing
one of their products again.
