...Have noted several responses; Coax-Seal will work but will be vy messy to
remove. Plastic caps (Caplugs) will work but still need to be taped & wxproofed
(if outdoors); I use them for inside of house dust covers. These *may* be
obtainable from McMaster but I havn't checked.
I assume that they are in an enclosure.
Here's an idea: Take a leftover/old PL259 cover and drop a 3/16" flat washer
into
it. Go to your favorite hardware store and buy a solid rubber stopper that will
just fit into the cover (the "best" wud be silicone rubber "rod") - end shud be
5/8" dia. Cut it (squarely) to 5/8" long. Insert this into the cover with the
small end toward the washer. Screw onto the SO239, tape it up with Scotch 33 or
88 and give it a shot of clear acrylic spray. Yes, the sulphur in the rubber is
likely to tarnish the surface (esp if it is silver plated) but this is far
better
than corrosion.
