W4ZWE built an 80M 4 square using Chain Link Fence Toprail.
It was VERY flimsy and he had to use a 20+ ft tripod to help
lift the elements into place, VERY CAREFULLY. It took
several attempts with bent elements before he found a
successful procedure. IMHO, 1.25 inch O.D. tubing should
not be used for anything much beyond 35 ft.
Most successful home brew 80M verticals are made from
2, 3, or even 4 inch tubing, or small tower sections.
