Hi Guys,
Two years ago, I put up the Cushcraft VHF Yagi 148 10S on a fixed mast
pointing to Honolulu 160 away. It works great and I have a SWR of less
than 2:1 on the MARS frequency near 142MHz.
However, a month later, I wanted to precisely align it. But one of the
nuts would not turn, and I decided it was best to leave things alone.
I did not know why the nut did not loosen (correct) until I read the
recent posts on TowerTalk.
If the new owner of Cushcraft is reading this, I would appreciate a new
set of mounting hardware. Now that I know the reason, I will use "goo."
