I doubt if you could find a relay that wouldn't arc over with the several kV
at the top of the 80m antenna.
Also, how would you get the control power to the relay?
Personally, I would just make a Trap using a good 200pF doorknob capacitor.

Rather than use a trap at the top of an 80m vertical to transition to a 160
inverted L has anyone tried a vacuum relay or even two in series at 1500w
to handle the highvoltage when on 80m?
