Herb,

Is that impedance for audio or RF frequencies? The best this is to use a RF 
bridge or analyzer to determine the impedance at the frequency of interest, 
which is 1.8Mhz in our case.

The impedance of WD-1A is supposed to be around 70 ohms  as most 
telephone wire is.  The DXE boxes are designed for 450 ohms so these 
boxes are probably not the best choice for
