Maybe you made the same mistake I did when I first tried this: too narrow a
filter. I did not have good results. Put it in USB. The software is
designed for an SSB bandwidth.
Having said that, I am learning Linrad, and its very flexible DSP filter
shaping algorithms are amazing. I might try running one of K1JT's narrow
band modes along with Linrad someday.
