On one 160m project, we used these 600-ohm open feed line spreaders from 73CNC.com to form the vertical radiator: http://www.73cnc.com/product_p/ls100.htm Yes, these spreaders are meant for transmission lines but the two parallel lines can be shorted at the top and bottom to quickly create a quasi fat vertical radiator.
