Several Amateur Radio operators will be running Part 5 experimental 630M
CW beacons during the ARRL Field day event:
WD2XSH/20 (op N6LF), 20W ERP 475.0 kHz OR
WG2XKA (op WA3ETD), 1W ERP 472.5 kHz VT
WG2XJM (op NO3M), 20-30W ERP 473.0 kHz PA
WG2XIQ (op KB5NJD), 1W ERP 474.0 kHz TX
WE2XPQ (op KL7L), 50W ERP 472.0 kHz AK
Stations will be transmitting through the night, some during the entire
Field Day operating period. Reception reports and/or message copy is
very much appreciated. Many current HF radios with general coverage
receiverswill tune to the 472-479 kHz range.
Please pass this information on to your Field Day group, local and/or
regional nets, and fellow Amateurs. This operating event is being
orchestrated to promote awareness of 630M operations, and is neither
sanctioned nor in affiliation with the ARRL or Field Day directly. Many
countries currently have secondary 630M Amateur allocations (including
Canada) and the US should eventually follow suit.
