Good suggestion Bill. Yes, I could get a loop around the place, probably close to a half wave on 160 as well. Tnx for the suggestion.

Put up the longest enclosed length you can and then worry about the matching later. Building a matching circuit is straightforward and effective.....use your analyzer and prune for lowest SWR.

I put one up to supplement my Beverages and K9AY and it sure helps on high-angle DX. I also use it in diversity mode with my K3, operating against one of the verticals and the system really works well.

Mine is, at places, only 8 ft above ground; in other places is is 20+ ft.
