No.. dont believe this. The cloth covered stuff is DROP WIRE used to connect the pole to the house and is not as strong as the C RURAL WIRE. >Ive read somewhere that the older rural C line has a cloth embedded insulation >that can absorb moisture, dont know about the later versions.
