Thankfully, LOTW didn't exist in the olden days. Otherwise I wouldn't
have treasures such as my 160M QSLs from EI9J (1953, first EI-VE QSO on
160), W1BB and KV4FZ both in 1973, my first ever QSO on 160 (W1TTV in
1951), W2EQS in 1953 (he had 13 countries confirmed on 160 then), OZ1LO
in 1980 (his first transatlantic QSO), and ZE7JX in 1977.

Likewise, my introduction to amateur radio as a SWLer would have lacked
the excitement of receiving QSLs from such exotic stations as XZ2SY.

LOTW has its place, but not for me.
