I certainly believe that having two separate lists would not be helpful to
anyone.

With a single list, the OT and the Newbie can use the delete key; the former if
bored by the need to re-read a well-worn topic, the latter if he cannot or does
not want to delve into a topic that is beyond his comprehension or scope of
interest.

Preserving a single but widened list will, I am certain, extend the
well-established and gracious conduct of its long-established members to a
larger audience. That will bring about an educational benefit to the Newbie,
and perhaps a measure of didactic gratification to the OT.

Still, this state of affairs could be even better served if a greater amount of
the inter-OT dialogue with substantive value were channeled through the list,
rather than, as often occurs, being confined to bilateral and off-list
communications.

I was was fortunate to have had a bit of direct contact with W1BB. Others on
this list perhaps knew him better.

As for this one list/two list issue, think deeply how Stew would have done it.

73,

Charles, W2SH
