The reason you do not have problems with your XMatch is more to do
with your antenna than your tuner. Your set up presents a fairly easy
to match impedance on 160m and thus does not stress your tuner unduly.
The technical (like it or not) factors that are important are the
range of complex impedances that a tuner can match and the maximum
voltages and currents it can tolerate. It is because these tend
towards less favourable levels on 160m antennas that we need to beef
up the components in our topband tuners, as others have said. XMatch
may well do that, but your set up does not prove it.
