Hello everyone,

I plan to erect my first ever vertical for 160M soon. I plan to install
120 radials. I have noticed in certain photos of lowband antennas that
some amateurs have installed a "chicken wire" ground screen immediately
below the vertical radiator. I have also heard that copper ground
screens are also used in commercial BCB verticals. With 120 radials,
does anyone think it is really worthwhile to also install a ground
screen?? I personally feel this is "overkill" however I would value
people's opinions on the subject nonetheless. For any "pro screeners"
out there, what size of a screen do you feel is optimal?

Thanks in advance!
