Neil,
Although there will certainly be coupling between the Beverage and radials,
the reduced performance may be small, relative to the transmit antenna
improvement. If the Beverage wire is appoximately perpendicular to the
radials, and if the number of radials is small (e.g., at the outer part of
the radial field), your Beverage will likely be quite usable.
However ... The above-mentioned coupling will increase the amount of
transmit signal induced onto that Beverage. Protect your receiver!
