Please consider the following:

A receiving array consisting of two Hi-Z Elements like those used by 
K7TJR in his 8 element array. Spacing is 1/8 WL.  EZ-Nec says at 23 
degrees elevation the gain is maximum. Carrying this through, the 
delay line necessary for maximum F/B at 23 degrees elevation is 138.5 
degrees. However, the angle at which the maximum F/B occurs can be 
changed by varying the length of the delay line, therefore, the 
maximum F/B can be made to occur at a higher angle by extending the 
delay line a bit(a degree or two). The question: is this a reasonable 
and practical way to reduce signal strength from stateside signals, 
and will there be detrimental affects on signals arriving at lower angles?
