I agree with John and that's what I do with my remote. Mine is a bit
further away (20 mi) and I use a duplex FM UHF link - control on the
uplink, audio and telemetry on the downlink. I was also concerned with
data rate on the uplink. I started with 4800, but eventually dropped
this down to 1200 baud, as I could then use a standard FFSK chip set and
gain a bit more link margin. I find the 1200 baud rate perfectly adequate.

I liked the question because maybe i can do this also.
>From this point of view the question is interesting for me.
But... i can not understand the answers....
Is it possible to explain it more ot to show me some urls?
In remote side
you put what?
ant the operator side you have what?
If someone uses an iplink i can understand that in remote side i will have a
radio physically connected with the rx ant and what the radio hear will be
transmitted by the ip to my computer? If i use another radio and a tx ant
(operator's side) to transmit and the 2 places are 100m (300ft) far, is
there a problem for the fornt end of the rx radio?
If also i understand well Greg describes something different but sorry to
say my experience is not quite big and i can't understand what the telemetry
is and what is transfered with uhf link, etc.
Tks and hny to all
