The effectiveness of the pitch setting is also dependent on the
characteristics of the RX IF chain, including the filters. On my MP Field, the
setting goes as low as 300 CPS. However, I have settled on 500 Hz as the best
overall setting for me.
On my TS-850, however, the most effective pitch setting is 600 Hz.
