Topband: Noise-attentuating RX antenna

     I ran across this page via ARRL's home page: 
http://users.erols.com/k3mt/hla/hla.htm .  The HLA (horizontal loop antenna) 
for RX looks interesting and cheap enough to play with for a weekend contest 
(?).
