Eric,
I've looked at products from both of these companies, as well as from
K9AY, using equipment in my company's EMC lab. They're all good
products, but for your purposes I think the KD9SV and K9AY preamps
would serve better. Both have bandpass filters so response falls off
very sharply below 160 meters.
