Istvan, There is something wrong here. I have an almost identical antenna, 70
foot flat top and 78 foot vertical, 6 elevated radials all 1/4 wave long. I
feed my antenna direct with RG-8 (No matching device) and the resultant SWR is
1.6 to 1 well within the range of my 400 watt amp pi network. I worked Daniel
S50U during the ARRL CW contest and he told me my signal was very strong the
first night of the contest. Check your connections carefully because the
antenna you described should have an impedance lower than 50 ohms with very
little reactance if any.
