Hello Ward:

I am replying to your message.
I would believe that there would on many occasions have different
propagation between 1.830 and 1.9 or 2.0 mHz. This question was brought up
before Merv's K9FD and my BY trip in January.
A great place for a beacon would be at BY1QH, Tsinghau University in
Beijing.
Working BY on topband is not like working JA. Most of the path to BY
is over land and to JA most is over water, of it depends where on is
located. I guess I am focusing on the mid-west.
By the way, I have a recording made by Greg, N4CC of our 160 signal
at his QTH in Edwardsville, IL. Neat!!!!!
I will empty the "Grid-Leak"bucket later today, it is almost full.
