Bob Ferrero, W6RJ, and his son Bob Jr., W6KR, will once again head to
Cameroon. This time they will be in the Gardua area between Nigeria
and Chad. The two will be on safari during daylight and on the air
during darkness. They will start using TJ1GB on 15 February and plan
to be on all bands. Equipment includes an ICOM IC706 and the famous
OH1RY light weight kilowatt. Antennas include a Force-12 C3S which
will be used for 10 through 20 meters. On 30 through 160 meters a
vertical with elevated radials will be used. The emphasis will be on
160 meters and the low bands until 1 March. If time and space are
available a beverage will be installed. QSL via K6SLO (ex WA6SLO).
