I'm located just NW of Columbus Ohio, about 175 miles from Indy. Since
around September 1, I've worked 41 countries, and heard another 4 that I
haven't been able to work (yet), generally due to timing.

Antenna is nothing spectacular: inv-L, 45-feet up, 99-feet out, matched
with 2.25:1 unun, originally with 3 elevated radials at 7 feet, now 96
radials on the ground (about half-and-half 50' and 100'). Receiving antenna
is 250-foot 2-wire NE/SW Beverage and also an 80M dipole at 65'.
FT1000MP/Alpha 91B help a lot.

I've not been very successful working EU at my sunset: I can hear the
East Coast working them, and can hear the stations but don't get heard
by the EU station. Most everything is much stronger for me at EU sunrise
period, from around 0430Z through 0620Z, +/-.

When one of these over-the-pole opening to the West Coast happen, I can't
get heard by anyone in EU, even when there's no one else calling them! I
can hear them beautifully, but they can't hear me. I *LOVE* this band:
mystery!

We are essentially "neighbors" in the grand scheme of things, so
conditions in Indy should be pretty comparable. Get acquainted with the
"mid-evening nap", pop up at around 0415Z, and see if they are available.
