Hello, Con,
Using EZNEC, the following dimensions resonate at 1.830 mHz (at 80'
high):
78' 6"
78'
____________________________ ______________________________
______________ | |______________ <-- spacing
= 6"
|_______________ ______________| <-- spacing
= 6"
47' 10" o o 47' 10"
Z = 10.44 Ohms at 1.830 mHz
All wire is #14 gauge.
The feedpoint resistance at resonance is about 10.5 Ohms at 80', so
you'll have to devise some kind of matching system. If perfectly matched
at 1830 kHz, the 2:1 swr bandwidth would be about 14 kHz (1824 to 1838
kHz).
The above dimensions and values are subject to change if the dipole is an
inverted vee.
