Some of the drift net becons are harmonics of NDB aircraft markers.
The Paducha Ky FIO marker was audible in Atlanta for over a month until the
FAA finally repaired it. It was a 25 watt transmitter on the VLF NDB band.
I have logged harmonics of several NDB VLF markers here, and several other
staions have. So some of the three letter ID's may be harmonics, not drift
nets.
