Hi Folks,
I have a galvanised iron crank-up mast sunk and concreted in the
ground. Will I perhaps be able to make use of this structure in a
Inverted L project or must the Vertical Section be isolated from the
ground?
The total height of the vertical section will be +/- 45 feet. I
dont have a tree high enough for the horizontal section of the antenna
to be spun in an absolute horizontal position. It will have to slope
downwards quite a bit ........ what effect will this shortcoming have
on the working of the antenna?
Is an Inverted L vertically polarised or does the direction in
which the horizontal section is spun determine it's "directivity"?
Is the Inverted L a quieter antenna than the vertical?
The only radial system I'll be able to use is elevated radials
with coils therein (we live on a suburban plot) - will I be able to
tie ONE of the radials onto the same tree on which the horizontal
section of the antenna (wire) will be tied?
