Hi, all,

The Ten Tec PTOs are temperature compensated, but some are better than others. On my Corsair, the temperature compensation capacitor is C9 on the schematic, labeled "selected in production".  C9 is on the foil side of the PTO board, so you can get to it without removing the PTO.  If you have some negative temperature coefficient caps, typically N750, you can try different combinations to improve the warmup characteristics. The other option is to keep the radio on all the time.

Good evening, Andrew

Drift during the first half hour of operation is normal. There is also a
750 Hz transmitter off set in CW mode. Is this the TX/RX alignment you are
referring to?

Assuming that the unit you purchased is in good condition, I think you will
enjoy using it once you become accustomed to some of its "personality".

Greetings,

I recently became the owner of a Omni.D 546.

It drifts; the RX and TX are not aligned.

Any suggestions for repair?
