Hi AllAn update on the Omni v, i was lucky enough to get a 81457 pcb from a 'parted' out radio, that cured the no audio problem, also found a trapped wire on the PA section, terminal 1, the white wire, pos volts to the relay i believe, cut, soldered and heat shrunk it, sorted. BUT i still have the button problem, now gravitating towards the ULN5818A serial interface, wondering if the shorted wire has corrupted something on the logic board. Unless you can advise otherwise!
