I have replaced the LED illuminators in maybe 3 Orions with excellent results.
I obtained my illuminators and driver boards from LCD Parts.
The Orion is an easy one to repair. U have done the same LED upgrade to CFL
illhuminated IC-756 series radios and these also worked out ver well.
